Warehouse Worker

TIPS is looking for a committed individual to join a busy warehouse team on the south-east side of Edmonton. Our client is looking for someone with potential to stay on permanently. Commitment is very important, as the team has to have a certain number of people to function properly. Employees work on an assembly-style line using a variety of pressure/power washers refurbishing industrial totes. Due to the nature of the previous contents, and the products used to clean the totes, there is a strong smell in the warehouse. Workers are able to wear respirators if they so choose, and should not be sensitive to strong smells.


- Physically fit, able to lift 50 lbs 

- Reliable vehicle and valid license - shifts fall outside of accessible transit times

- No smell sensitivity

- Own steel toe boots, coveralls, and safety glasses


Candidates must be able to work both day and night shift (7am - 3:30 pm and 3:30pm - midnight). Wages start at $14/hour for day shift and $15/hour for night shift. Training shifts are day shifts.

Vehicle Offloaders

We are in need of awesome individuals to work in a rail yard unloading brand new vehicles from rail cars. Workers will be driving the brand new vehicles through the rail cars and off into the yard. Once off the rail car, workers will be parking the vehicles in the appropriate areas in the yard. This job can often be dangerous if workers are not careful and fully coherent. We are looking for someone who is alert at all times and able to work within all weather conditions.



-Physically fit

-Able to stand, bend, squat, lift, shimmy for long periods of time

-Able to lift at least 50 pounds

-Able to work in all weather conditions

-Extremely focused both in and out of vehicles

-Very safety conscious


Must Haves:

-VALID Class 5 driver’s license

-MUST know how to drive both manual and standard transmissions

-Clean 3 years driver’s abstract

-Clean criminal background 


Position Includes:

-Part time to full time hours (fluctuates weekly based on volume of rail cars)

-Morning shifts, afternoon shifts AND evening shifts (must be open to all availability)

-Potential for on call

-Overtime potential – candidate must be okay with working long days!


Training shifts are paid at 16$/hr, wage to be negotiated post probation.

Concrete Finisher

TIPS is looking for experienced concrete finishers to work with a client, likely for the entire season. The successful candidate(s) will assist in pouring, preparing, placing and forming some scopes of work. Workers will also be required to assist with various other tasks as required. This position has the potential to lead to full-time/permanent.

Duties include - finishing all scopes of residential or commercial concrete flat-work such as basement floors, driveways, garage floors, patios, front stairs and landings

Service work - patching and grinding

Foundation work - weeping tile, foundation wrap

Assist other crews working on jobsites



  • Concrete Finishing: 2+ years an asset


  • Class 5 drivers license an asset

Ticketed Lift Operators

We are currently looking for workers with AWP and Fall Arrest tickets!

Tickets must be VALID!

We are looking for individuals ready to start immediately with various companies setting up and taking down racking in warehouses around the city. You must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, have your own steel toe boots, and of course valid tickets. Your own vehicle is an asset as sites are scattered around the city.

-          Minimum one(1) year experience installing Epoxy coating

-          Clean Class 5 license

-          Experience with prep and cleanup of floor sites

-          Able to continually lift 50lbs throughout the day

-          CSA certified steel toe boots

-          Able to handle all environmental factors associated with jobs sites (including dust, chemical cleaners, etc.)

-          MUST be safety oriented – sites have a variety of equipment, chemicals, and other factors which could prove dangerous to individuals who aren’t paying attention on sites


There is some occasional travel associated with the position, as well as some evening and weekend work.
